History of the celebration of Engineer's Day

Paraguay celebrates Engineer's Day every July 23 ; a date dedicated to these professionals who with their knowledge and techniques contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of structures for solving problems that affect the daily activity of society and in this way contribute to building the foundations of the country's development.

How was the Paraguayan Engineer Day born?

The Engineer's Day has its origin on July 23, 1939 when, through a declaration, the creation of the Paraguayan Center of Engineers is officially established. However, this date is also celebrated in commemoration of the founding in 1926 of the first center for engineering studies in the country, which would form the Center for Engineering Students ; organization that later would give rise to the definitive union that celebrates its founding date on July 23.

Since the creation of this center, the vision of its members has been to be a national reference in all aspects that have to do with engineering. All with a view to meeting the millennium goals.

In the same way, the mission has been to consolidate an integral, strong and proactive union that promotes the integral training of engineering professionals with an emphasis on technology, ethics, civic and economics.
