How was Arbor Day born in Paraguay?
Arbor Day has been celebrated in Paraguay since 1904. Initially, it was commemorated on July 14 as a proposal by Moisés Bertoni; Swiss naturalist, botanist and anarchist writer. He is considered one of the most extraordinary immigrants who have arrived in Paraguayan lands. However. In 1954 the Ministry of Education changed the date to the current one, that is, to June 19.
